Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok is a South Korean League of Legends player. He was formerly known as “GoJeonPa” on Korean servers, when he was picked up by SK Telecom in 2013 and is currently playing the role of mid laner for SK Telecom T1.

Faker is regarded as the best player on earth, with popular analysts calling him the “Micheal Jordan” or the “Lionel Messi” of League of Legends. His mechanical prowess and his large playable champion pool puts him above all other players in the League of Legends scene. He’s one of only two players to every win a total of three world championships in 2013, 2015, and 2016. As of the end of October 2016, faker has won a total of $896,596 in prize money, ranked #29 in terms of prize money won across all of eSports. He’s also popularized many different play styles.

On February 6th, 2017, SK Telecom moved their live streaming platforms to where Faker recorded his first stream and made a record peak of 245,000, setting the record for most viewed single streamer in the history of the platform.

He holds many other records such as most kills in a World Championship at 209. He had an undefeated record with the champion LeBlanc in competitive play at 12-0 before losing to Edward Gaming in the 2015 Mid-Season Invitational Finals. He has also had an undefeated record with the champion Ryze in competitive play going 18-0 before losing against the afreeca Freecs in the fourth week of 2017 LCK/Spring Split.
